After a successful professional career as a university professor, as an advisory lawyer focused on criminal litigation, as an advisor to the Vice-Minister of Justice and Criminal Policy, Specialized Prosecutor, as Delegated Prosecutor to the Superior Court in and for Bogotá, as advisor to the Attorney General’s Office, and as National Director of the Accusatory Criminal System of the Attorney General’s Office, Camilo Burbano Cifuentes founded Camilo Burbano Abogados S.A.S in 2017.
Currently, he has been appointed as a Co-judge of the Special Chamber of Instruction of the Supreme Court of Justice and as a Co-judge of the Superior Court of the Superior District of Bogotá, Criminal Chamber.
His professional practice has been focused on the defense of the interests of individuals and companies, with special attention to the prevention of criminal risks and the development of legal strategies for highly complex cases; he has participated in various reforms and drafting of laws on criminal matters.
